The Halal Services Asia outlines the requirements of the conditions to transform transforming devices, utensils, appliances, machines, or facilities which were contaminated with forbidden materials to become Halal suitable.
This process will undergo a ritual cleaning before claiming it to be transformed.
During a ritual cleaning process, an auditor will be present on-site.
The ritual cleaning process may be carried out only once and repetition of this process is not allowed.
Forbidden materials, whether visible or invisible, are not allowed to be contaminated on devices, utensils, appliances, machines, or equipment, and therefore may harm the Halal status of a facility.
The steps needed to be taken in order to remove the contamination of forbidden materials are described as follow:
It is required to wash/cleanse the object 7 times; one of which shall be water mixed with soil;
During the first wash/cleanse, the presence of the forbidden materials shall be removed completely; it should also have to be proven by a swab test or a leftover check before continuing to the next wash [wash 2 of 7];
The amount of soil used should be appropriate to harden the water or to be considered jelly;
An auditor from Halal Services Asia will be present during the ritual cleaning process;
The ritual cleaning process is a one-time-only process and may not be conducted more than once.

Forbidden materials, whether visible or invisible, are not allowed to be contaminated along with the water used. The water should be considered as natural. The water used during each wash may not be re-used for the next wash.
